Bead Swap

This is my first time to participate the christmas bead swap with the JETs Jewelry team on Etsy, yaay!  Lynn from Urban Pearl Studio is my partner this year.

Dear Lynn,
I chose candy colors with mostly turquoise aquamarine shades for you to get away from your elegant peals for a while.  Hope that you agree with my idea and have fun with all these joyful beads.

Merry, early, Christmas and enjoy your Monday!

Butterfly in the Stomach on Cyber Monday Etsy Special

Oh, I have to admit that this weekend my heart just could not stop pounding normally..

It's all because of the black friday cyber monday sale. on Les bijoux de Siany.  It is like you have a butterfly that treat your stomach as a beautiful garden.

I opened SianyKitty online store on etsy in 2009. It started with five items and has been consistently that way.  Until feb 2011, I added one items per month.  With my french course that occupies me almost the whole year, and the wedding, I always found myself not in a good timing to add more collection in the store.  Finally last october,  I really am putting my feet down to commit on continuing this business.

Learning along with the fellow etsians, I decided to participate this big black friday cyber monday etsy special.  And that is the root of the fever I am having right now. It's normal right? Considering that it is my FIRST online promotion.

Here goes what I did... I make more jewelry, took more photos, and show them off everywhere: on my facebook fanpage, twitter, and finally, VOILA!

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend! Meanwhile I am crossing all the fingers hoping that the butterfly found its way out of my stomach. Oh, what do you think about the photos by the way?

A Week before the Wedding...

The sun shone warmly last weekend, I got a chance to take a walk and capture this beautiful flower. Unfortunately, it would be the last nice weather before the fall starts.. This is the busiest I ever get after the vacation last summer.  We are preparing for the wedding at the townhall and the party the day after, I never really imagine that with all the unexpected detail things can be so crammed and busy.  I have made a couple of jewelries that I haven't got a chance to post at my etsy shop. Here is three of them....

Before I get my concentration back at work, I am expecting a week break after the wedding, and, finally, after that many visits to the tower, we finally would be able to climb up the Eiffel Tower and looking down to Paris.  I see you next weekend!

My First sale on Etsy

A months ago I restarted putting things on my etsy shop.   It started from one day between the week, going back from work, he told me all about the wife of his colleague who travel the world and buying the stuff meanwhile selling them on ebay. And I said to myself, tiens, I have an online store too! Fact that it is free, I never really appreciate its existence too much, but I DO have one.

So, I became active, again, in making the jewelries, taking the photos, editing them, posting, talking to the online sellers perhaps they have some ideas to be a successful seller.  One of them is Sandie, a super sympa lady who create ZaftigDelights and KnitzyBlonde on Etsy, she spent her time to write me a long email and all of them are pure experience and encouragement.  I honestly appreciate her wisdom and kindness.

But what excite me was last Sunday I had made my first sale on etsy.  The amount is not too much but it is enough to bounce me up and be ready to make more jewelries...
