Picking up Hazelnut for Weekend

 
Here I go, smiling again... I have a good reason for it's the weekend! :)

And squatting again, I hope you don't think that this is my favorite position somehow. We are actually picking up hazelnuts under their trees that grow not too far from our apartment.  

Everytime we pass this street there are at least one person with a big sack getting busy gathering the seeds.  One time while walking home, I took five of them out of curiosity. I got a hammer and cracked it out of its shell and found out that it is actually one of my favorite nuts. Yaay! For a short second I had this innovative thought: with that much of hazelnut I can make my own nutella. 

I am not the only one who love hazelnut I think, did you see the two birds that are in the middle of a nut party? 

So, last weekend I persuaded D to come with me and pick up more than five of these nuts, and we got home with at least five kilos of them! Aren't their gorgeous? I wonder if I should keep the nutella idea or just crack twenty of them and make a hazelnut banana bread... Meanwhile, Enjoy your weekend!
